Black Bear hunting
Well with the regulation changes in September all of the fall bear hunting had to happen in October. Very few people wanted to try the hunt that late so we only had two groups here this week. Five of the six guys had bear tags and all five scored a bear. That is pretty good odds. They found the bears in clear cuts eating berries or on the streams looking for fish. They did however have trouble finding many bucks which means they are still up high so far. They should start moving down as the weather cools and we get closer to the rut. The weather was comfortable with highs in the low 50's. They even got the chance to catch a few coho while they were here.
