Spring Bear Hunting, Saltwater Fishing
We haven't had many guests since the last update. Last week we had some guys here on an archery hunt. They were able to call a bear in and got a shot under 20 yards The shooter made a great shot and as we'll see on the show he showed great poise in placing his shot. I can't tell you too much but it should make for a great show. I'll let you know when it airs.
I don't have a lot to put in this update because I didn't save my bear hunt for this one. I had to put it on the website as soon as possible. I was too excited.
The season is changing and spring is coming to an end. Black Bear season technically ends in a few days but is already over for most people. Our focus now turns to summer saltwater fishing. We have spent the last few weeks getting the boats ready and have fished a few days. The fishing has been slow until recently. This week we have been getting into some good fishing and a good variety of fish as well. Yesterday the guys went out and got 17 Coho Salmon, a few Pinks, lost a nice King Salmon, 3 Ling Cod, and some Halibut. Not a bad day of fishing. We have also been running our newest boat. The blue boat in the photo above. It is a 28 foot North River and it fishes great. We recently had a good day catching a bunch of Coho Salmon and this nice King Salmon.
From here on out the saltwater fishing should be wide open. If you are coming up later this summer it should be a great season. We'll see you soon.
