Steelhead Fishing
The winter has been holding on a little longer this year. There was more snow than normal so it has taken a little longer for spring to get started. The bears have started to come out. We've had more sightings and we've seen a few more tracks. Everything is about 2 weeks later than normal this year. We expect to see more bears as the month goes on and the weather gets warmer.The rivers are producing some Steelhead but it should only get better. We had a great group of guys here fishing for Steelhead this last week. Greg, his father John, and Darien worked hard and covered a lot of water to find fish. They started their trip having trouble locating fish but in their last two days they hooked 9 one day and 14 the next. This year the streams that are producing the best fishing are not the usual ones. Every year and every stream is different.

Bruce Belles and Jake from Clackacraft Driftboats are here to do a little fishing. Bruce hooked 2 Steelhead on the Thorne River the first evening he was here.

Bill Black of Spirit River Flies is up here fishing as well.
As a group they have hooked a lot of fish in the first two days of their stay. Here are a few pictures of what they have been up to.
